Lawrence Francis O'Donnell Jr. (born November 7, 1951) is an American television anchor, actor and political commentator. He is the host of The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, an MSNBC opinion and news program.[1]

He was a producer and writer for the NBC series The West Wing (playing the role of the President's father in flashbacks) and creator/executive producer of the NBC series Mister Sterling.[2]
