Leo Bretholz (March 6, 1921 – March 8, 2014) was an Austrian writer and holocaust survivor. In 1942, he escaped from a train heading for Auschwitz.[1] He has also written a book on his experiences, titled Leap into Darkness.

Bretholz died in Pikesville, Maryland from natural causes, aged 93.
