13-year-old Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) is accused of digitally altering a photo of her teacher, Ms. Briggs (Mindy Sterling), even though her best friend, Sam (Jennette McCurdy), is the true culprit. As punishment, she is forced to monitor auditions for the school talent show. Carly decides to bring Sam, as well as her next-door neighbor, Freddie (Nathan Kress), who has a crush on Carly. Freddie brings his tech equipment to videotape the auditions. After the auditions, they write a list of people they want to be in the talent show. However, much to Carly's and Sam's distress, Freddie accidentally uploads a clip of Carly and Sam making fun of Ms. Briggs to SplashFace, which quickly goes viral. While they have the video removed, the girls are flattered by comments complimenting their sense of humor. Carly and Sam give Ms. Briggs a DVD of the auditions, only for her to reveal she saw the video and reject their list of recommended acts. Carly is then inspired to make their own webshow in which they can do whatever they want without people stopping it, and with her brother Spencer's (Jerry Trainor) permission, they redecorate the third floor into a makeshift studio for the webshow, named "iCarly" by Freddie. Their first webcast, featuring many of their favorite acts from the auditions, is a huge success.

Freddie and Spencer build an electronic sign to put up on a freeway, but the glare of the sign causes a massive car pile-up. As Spencer frantically tries to turn the sign off, it unexpectedly shorts out live on-the-air, going from saying "PLEASE GO ONLINE TO iCARLY.COM" to saying "P_E__E __ ON____ __ _CARL_____", much to the displeasure of a police officer named Carl (Christopher Michael). However, the mistake still results in more viewers for the show.

Watching a boring performance by a Scottish dancer in Ms. Briggs' class inspires Carly, Sam, and Freddie to show dance clips on iCarly. Their fans send over 3,000 video clips, and the three are forced to watch 500 clips each night before the next webcast. Some are boring, but Carly and Sam instantly fall for an amazing dancer who Freddie takes a dislike to. They later fall asleep and have dreams about dancing. One dream is everyone dancing in the school corridor, Sam's dream is Sam's detention class dancing to Ms. Briggs' bagpipes, Freddie's dream is himself dancing to impress Carly in a Michael Jackson like-way and Carly's dream is her dancing with many boys in tuxedos in her empty living room. Spencer wakes everyone up by preparing to show them his "Firecracker" dance, which he had been looking for his gear to perform, but everyone rejects this, with Freddie going home and Carly and Sam deciding to sleep in Carly's bedroom. A disappointed Spencer then sleeps on the couch and ends up having the same dream as Carly.

The owners give explanations of the happenings, and iCarly continues. Meanwhile, Spencer is making a giant jack-o-lantern and forgets to buy candy for the trick-or-treaters. When he gives them ridiculous items such as a carton of eggs and jumper cables, they storm into the room, causing Spencer to hide in his monstrous jack-o-lantern. After finding out about this, however, Carly feels guilty about the grade change, so she and Freddie try to change it back, but are stopped by Franklin and the Computer Security Agency because Freddie's hacking caused a breach in the school's network. The next day, she storms into Franklin's office to take the blame for the grade hacking, only for him to get confused because Freddie tried to take the blame earlier. In the end, however, Sam confesses and Franklin books her detention for two days for six weeks while letting Carly and Freddie off the hook for letting him keep the microwave oven. In addition, the stakeout is badly affecting the webcast. Carly is mad at Spencer and Freddie both for not helping her out during the visit of their weird and nerdy cousins, the Dorfmans, and his obsession with fencing, so she forbids him from fencing with Freddie and takes it further by telling Mrs. Benson (Mary Scheer), who sends Freddie home for a tick bath when he does not even have ticks. Carly begins to realize how much he deserves to have some "guy time", and tries to convince Mrs. Benson to change her mind. Meanwhile, Sam and Freddie have a bet to see if Sam can read a book for her school assignment. Sam gets interested in books for the first time and finishes the book on her own, winning the bet. A struggling TV producer, Brad Brenner (David Starzyk) offers to make iCarly into a hit TV show after seeing how much his daughter (Sammi Hanratty) loves watching their web show and refuses to watch his shows (though he doesn't realize that his shows just aren't funny). At first it is great because Carly, Sam and Freddie get paid, ride in a limo and get a new band. They soon regret their arrangement after the first rehearsal when Brenner changes the show around, trying to attract as many demographics as he can, and destroys everything good about it: He gets rid of the iCarly band to fit in Zeebo the dinosaur, Sam is fired for being pushy and aggressive and is replaced by a stuck up and untalented movie actress named Amber Tate (Rachel G. Fox) that Carly has no chemistry with, and Brenner makes Freddie do janitorial work when he was supposed to be a supervising producer, leading him to quit. Elsewhere, with the kids at the TV studio, Mrs. Benson and Spencer try to fill the void by acting like a family to each other. In the end, after Carly has had enough of the changes, she tells Brenner that the show is not even iCarly anymore and Brenner agrees with her. Since Brenner believes that his new show has become even better than iCarly, Carly gets the rights to the title back and changes iCarly back to the way it was. Brenner puts Zeebo and Tate into another TV show, which performs terribly. Meanwhile, to celebrate the return of the real iCarly, the lead of the iCarly band (Leon Thomas III) performs his favorite song on their webcast.

Gibby finally admits he is nothing like Freddie and reveals the "real Gibby" by taking off his shirt and dancing on a table. This has the effect of chasing off Shannon, but all turns out well when another girl tells Gibby she likes his moves. When Sam finds that this is true, she makes a broadcast on iCarly encouraging all their fans to donate money to her. However, Principal Franklin informs Carly and Sam that it is illegal to solicit money to kids over the internet, so Sam grudgingly gets a job at the Chilli My Bowl restaurant to earn the money and pay them back. Elsewhere, Spencer tries to impress an attractive single mom by helping her daughter sell fudge balls (similar to Girl Scout cookies), but two rude older teen scouts steal Spencer's place at the market. Spencer comes up with the idea to send fudge balls to every iCarly fan who sent them money as he mentions in a law book it is not illegal to solicit money from kids if they provide a product or service in return. Carly and Freddie then hire someone to give the money they earned to Sam in a tip at the restaurant where she is working. Instead of repaying the money to Carly and Freddie, Sam buys a trampoline for Carly's apartment, which Carly and Freddie enjoy with her.
29 | 4 | "iHurt Lewbert" | Russ Reinsel | Ethan Banville | October 18, 2008 | 207 | 4.4[20] |
When Carly's doorman Lewbert (Jeremy Rowley) gets injured during one of their "Messin' with Lewbert" pranks on iCarly, Carly and her friends look after Lewbert until he is back on his feet. It is not as easy as it looks, until Freddie's mother (Mary Scheer) takes over. Carly and Sam warn Freddie that his mom is in love with Lewbert, and, much to Freddie's dismay, he finds that this is true. They devise a plan to break up their romantic relationship by having Freddie fake an injury so Mrs. Benson would pay attention to her "injured" son rather than her relationship with Lewbert. Meanwhile, a pesky, disobedient young boy named Chuck (Ryan Ochoa) plays racquetball in the lobby and Spencer gets Chuck's father to ground him for 2 days. Spencer is, in the meantime, filling in for Lewbert as the doorman. During his shifts, while using an old CB Radio, he upsets two truckers named Porkchop and Sledgehammer. Chuck, looking for revenge, gives the truckers his location through the radio while Spencer leaves his desk, and the truckers arrive just as Lewbert takes his job back. They beat him up, mistakenly assuming he is Spencer.

In the first iCarly movie, the trio learn they have been nominated for an iWeb award and win tickets to attend the award ceremony in Japan. Spencer then trades the three first-class tickets for 5 coach tickets when Mrs. Benson refuses to let Freddie go without her. The five later parachute into Japan out of an unsanitary possum-filled cargo plane after the pilot literally makes them fly "over" Japan. A police officer takes them to their hotel after they land in a barren field. At the hotel, they are visited by Kyoko and Yuki, fellow competitors for the same award. Kyoko and Yuki give Spencer and Mrs. Benson tickets to the hotel spa to get seaweed massages by their cousins, while they take Carly, Sam and Freddie shopping. After confessing they are lost, Kyoko and Yuki pretend to get angry at each other and stage a kung fu fight on the sidewalk. They then strand the trio in the middle of nowhere after giving a phony excuse to leave, while Spencer breaks himself and Mrs. Benson free from being wrapped in seaweed after being abandoned by the cousins. Using a locator chip implanted in Freddie's head, Mrs. Benson and Spencer take a taxi to find the lost trio. They reunite and make it to the ceremony but are apprehended by security. Freddie wires his video camera into the main screen while Carly and Sam try to explain to the security officers what happened by acting, since the guards cannot speak English and the girls cannot speak Japanese. Since Freddie hooked up the camera to the big screen, the audience can see their silly acting. Thanks to Freddie, iCarly wins the award show due to their performance. Kyoko and Yuki are arrested for kidnapping, and the iCarly gang return to America on a fishing boat, having refused to go back on the cargo plane. Special guest stars: Good Charlotte as Themselves, Ally Maki as Kyoko, and Harry Shum Jr. as Yuki

When the group's favorite pie shop closes down due to the death of the head chef and owner, Mr. Galini, they try to find the recipe for their favorite coconut-cream pie. The only person believed to have the recipe is Mr. Galini's eccentric granddaughter, Trudy. She agrees to give them the recipe if she can go on a date with Spencer, but she creeps him out and upsets him. Trudy then feels bad and confesses that she never actually owned the recipe, claiming that her grandfather "kept them in his computer" and she could never find them. Carly, Sam, and Freddie hatch a plan to find the recipe in Mr. Galini's computer at the pie shop during the memorial service. Fortunately, when Sam and Freddie were fighting in Mr. Galini's office, they accidentally knock his computer over, finding the recipes in envelopes literally stuffed inside the hard drive. Trudy, alongside Mr. Galini's assistant, Mario, re-open the pie shop. Meanwhile, Mrs. Benson's cousin is going to a comic book festival in New Jersey while her baby daughter Stephanie visits for a few days, making Freddie uneasy because the baby always has a blank expression when she sees Freddie, and he believes she does not like him because he is not funny. Freddie tries finding a way to succeed in making his cousin laugh. In the end, he makes her laugh by splatting himself in the face with a pie.
32 | 7 | "iChristmas" | Steve Hoefer | Dan Schneider | December 13, 2008 | 209 | 3.7[23] |
When Spencer makes an electromagnetic Christmas tree, the tree is set on fire, which makes Carly angry at Spencer because the fire destroys the presents Carly got for Spencer. When Carly wishes that Spencer had been born "normal", Carly's guardian angel, Mitch (Danny Woodburn), makes this wish come true and proceeds to show Carly the consequences of her wish. This results in Spencer being a calm and mature lawyer, the iCarly webshow no longer existing (the iCarly studio now just a room filled with boxes), Sam being absent from school, Freddie dating a rude girl after giving up on pursuing Carly because Nevel Papperman (Reed Alexander) somehow became Carly's boyfriend, which caused her and Freddie to drift apart. Carly questions Mitch about Sam's disappearance, and Carly is taken to the Juvenile Detention Center, where Sam is being held. Carly finds out that the reason Sam was arrested is because Spencer saw her as a bad influence and did not want Carly to be friends with her, so Sam got into more trouble without Carly to hold her back. Carly returns home and to find that Mrs. Benson and Spencer are now engaged, making Carly angry at what her life has become. After saying very sadly that she wants Sam and Freddie to be her friends again and Spencer to be abnormal and eccentric again, Carly then cries and wishes that her world was back to the way it was before, which Mitch secretly grants. Carly is now happy with the electromagnetic Christmas tree, and Carly, Sam, Freddie, and Spencer have a good Christmas together in the end.

Later, when the girls come home from the lame movie "The First Kiss", this causes a discussion of who was their first kiss. A while later, Sam overhears Freddie privately inform Carly that he has never had his first real kiss. To get back at Freddie, Sam blurts out his secret on iCarly, not realizing how horribly this would make him feel. The next day at school, Freddie gets teased by Mr. Devlin, several classmates, iCarly fans, and even little girls, so he skips school for the entire week, misses two rehearsals, and refuses to show up for the next webcast, much to Sam's surprise. Carly gives Sam a stern rebuke about what she had done wrong and that she had ruined Freddie's life without even caring. Feeling guilty about what she has done, a remorseful Sam reveals to the web on iCarly that what she did was wrong and that she has never kissed anyone either. Sam then arrives at Freddie's balcony fire escape and sincerely apologizes for ruining everything, and Freddie is deeply touched by what Sam did to help him. They also discuss their mutual frustrations of not having a first kiss and their urge to get it over with. As a result, they privately kiss each other, but they both promise not to tell anyone. The winner of the contest has a username called "Trickster 206" but when they call him on a video chat on the webshow it is revealed to be Nevel Papperman, much to their dismay. When Freddie and Sam go to retrieve the car for him, the two find out that the owner does not even have a son named Jeffrey and was never planning on giving away a free car, confusing them and Carly. The trio found out that Nevel was the one who created the contest, hiring a kid to pretend that he was the lot owner's son to set them up in another revenge plot to get iCarly shut down by the LCC for fraud. In order not to have their webshow shut down, iCarly must provide him with a new car. Meanwhile, Spencer buys a spaceship prop, supposedly from the movie "Galaxy Wars" (a parody of Star Wars) online, but finds out through Freddie that it is only a replica, and was never actually used in the movie. Carly decides to exploit a loophole, which says that a "new car" must be unique, not state registered and can go at least 25 mph, so they modify the spaceship prop into a working vehicle and give it to Nevel as his new car. Nevel then test-drives the spaceship car and crashes into a flower shop, and because it passes all the requirements, iCarly succeeds in preventing the end of the webshow.

If they do not get a good grade on their project, Mr. Henning tells his students that they must go on the dreaded "Root & Berry Retreat" for extra credit. Since Freddie is already making a technology composting box, Carly makes an electric scooter. Unfortunately, it only goes four miles per hour, it shorts out when it gets wet and bursts into flames by the time she reaches school, causing her to fail. Freddie failed because his technology composting project caused him to import worms from Portugal by burning a lot of jet fuel from an airplane, resulting in him having to go to the "Root & Berry Retreat". Sam, who did not even do a project, manages to get an A from Mr. Henning, who is impressed by her simple "project" that merely involves Sam eating and drinking the juice from an orange to help reduce packaging waste from other snack foods. Carly then has the weekend to do a new project, as Mr. Henning gives her a second chance. Spencer brings in a good-looking science geek he met named Cal (Jake Siegel), who helps build a small power generator utilizing nuclear energy. This turns out to be highly illegal, since it is powered by black-market uranium, unbeknownst to Carly and her friends. As punishment for the illegal project and aiding and getting help from a known felon, Carly is sentenced to the "Root & Berry Retreat" for extra credit.

Meanwhile, Spencer and Freddie find Charles Dingo's rumored frozen head (a parody of an urban legend surrounding Walt Disney being cryogenically frozen after his death) and come up with a plan. The next day, the iCarly group threatens to release depictions of Dingo's frozen head on iCarly.com unless the writers swear not to steal the show's ideas again. They both try and do videos for the contest with Freddie, but end up at the same place at the same time. However, a jerk who lives in the building wants their spot, so he and his baseball team, the Pirates, take over the boat. Spencer and Gibby take it back with a slingshot and watermelons. After winning, Spencer uses his scope and spies Carly hanging off the platform. Spencer races up with a rope, after Sam rescues Carly. Sam goes online to TheSlap.com and sees Steven with another girl by the name of Tori Vega and tries to inform Carly that Steven is cheating on her, but Carly refuses to believe her unless she has proof, saying "everyone is innocent until proven cheaty". The group, including Gibby, decide to drive down to Los Angeles and crash a party at Kenan Thompson's house that Andre, one of Tori's friends, is holding, via a public invite posted by Rex, the puppet of Robbie, another one of Tori's friends, to find out if Steven is really cheating on Carly. They stop at the house of Moni, who was Spencer's past girlfriend and is also a celebrity makeup artist. Moni, though still angry at Spencer for backing a car over her, transforms them into different looking people. When many people show up to the party and begin to party recklessly thanks to Rex's post, Andre tries to get some people to calm down and/or leave, as he thought there were only supposed to be a few people at this party, though failing, while getting chased by a mysterious man in a panda suit. Kenan arrives and is surprisingly cool with the party, claiming that there are not enough people at the party. However, he is annoyed at the panda, who has stalked him for years, and agrees to help Andre chase him off his property. Carly catches Steven with Tori, and she sees him giving Tori the same exact charm bracelet that he gave her and telling her, "it's one of a kind, just like you", which he also had told Carly at the beginning of the episode. Tori then tells Steven that she loves him and Steven says "I love you too" making Carly devastated. Tori finds Carly and her friends at the party, now in their normal looks, where Carly reveals that Steven is cheating with both of them. Carly and Tori, together with Sam, Freddie and Kenan, come together with a plan to expose Steven's bad nature live on iCarly in front of a million people in a small closet where Tori and Steven originally planned to have their 100-day kiss. Steven angrily leaves the closet while the iCarly gang party inside. Then, Sam asks them to remember the time where they came there and changed their minds about Carly and Spencer leaving, which turns out to be a replay of the scene with Lewbert and Bushwell entering the door. Jimmy Fallon invites the gang to New York to appear on his show after Carly dedicates a webshow to him parodying his skits in response to Jimmy complementing iCarly on his show. Gibby buys pants which caused a few problems during the show. While the gang starts dancing, Gibby's pants fall down, causing indecent exposure on camera, as he is not wearing any undergarments at the time. This incident prompts the NCC to show up. People blame Fallon for the incident by saying he deliberately wanted Gibby's pants to fall. Carly and her friends do an episode of iCarly saying it was their fault and not Fallon's. The NCC forces them to pay $500,000 dollars or they will shut down iCarly, so Fallon blogs asking America for their spare change to help the iCarly gang get the money. At the end of the episode, Fallon invites the gang back on the show and shows them a big pile of money, totaling $576,094, which is more than enough to pay the fine. Special guest stars: Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins, The Roots and Jeff Musial as themselves. Special appearance by: Tina Fey as herself. Guest stars: BooG!e as T-Bo and Mary Scheer as Mrs. Benson. Notes: This is a special one-hour episode. The scene where the gang are in the diner in New York City is a spoof and a replica set of the sitcom Seinfeld. The NCC is a spoof of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), although in Season 2 Episode 11, iGive Away a Car, the parody is named LCC. This episode is the second time in the series that iCarly face charges. In other countries, like Norway, this episode is called "iShock The World" or translates into it.

They return to the pawn shop and find that Gibby has been robbed of the money. A Japanese customer offers $10,000 for Gibby's rubber head, but Gibby refuses to sell it. Sam knocks him out and sells the head. Afterwards, they get ready to get to the jail on time but Spencer is taking a shower in the RV. Special guest stars: Rick Harrison, Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison and Austin "Chumlee" Russell as themselves.[101] Guest stars: BooG!e as T-Bo Note: This was the next and final episode to be directed by an actor on the show.

After a webcast, Sam notices her laptop is missing. Freddie remotely activates the webcam with the laptop's serial number, and they see an old lady in front of it. After watching her for eleven hours, they figure out where she lives and go to her apartment, breaking down the door. However, once there, they find out that Sam gave them a wrong serial number and now think that Sam's laptop is gone forever. When they get home, Sam goes to the fridge to get food and finds her laptop in a pizza carton. She leaves and takes the carton with her without telling anyone. Meanwhile, Spencer finds his old lunchbox filled with Funk E. Festers tickets, his favorite arcade, he collected when he was ten years old to win a plush dolphin, after he misplaced it. However, when he gets there, he finds out they are worthless since the arcade switched to electronic points. Since adults are not allowed to enter without a child, he takes Guppy with him to get in. After spending the entire day at the arcade, he manages to get the 1,000 points he needs just before it closes and wins his plush dolphin. Guest stars: Ethan Munck as Guppy, BooG!e as T-Bo and Jean Sincere as Gloria. Notes: Funk E. Festers is a parody of Chuck E. Cheese's. The animation in the cartoon that was shown in the opening scene parodies South Park. Final Appearance: Ethan Munck as Guppy

Carly awaits her father's arrival in Seattle to escort her to the Father-Daughter Air Force Dance, but she gets a message saying he is unable to come. To comfort Carly, Spencer asks to take Carly to the dance, and she accepts. Shortly before the dance, Spencer becomes sick after Lewbert sneezes on him and is unable to escort Carly. Carly is very upset because she's been unable to attend the last four years due to her father's overseas posting, and this is the last year she is eligible to attend. Sam convinces Freddie and Gibby to take Spencer's place, but this just upsets Carly more. Surprisingly, Colonel Shay arrives and escorts Carly to the dance after all. After the dance, Colonel Shay informs everyone that he has to return to his base in Italy, and invites Carly to move with him. Despite Carly's initial reluctance, Carly receives supportive encouragement from everyone and accepts the offer. The gang heads upstairs to the studio to stream their last iCarly webcast together, with Colonel Shay present. Carly and Freddie are alone in the studio and kiss for the last time before she departs and Sam gives Carly the remote from the webshow as a keepsake of their friendship. Elsewhere, Sam and Spencer work together to fix a motorcycle for Socko, but Sam gets to keep it after he no longer needs it, Freddie gets a phone that is twice the size of a regular phone constantly getting teased by everyone for it, and Gibby gets his head stuck in a machine when he gets a new head to make up for the one he lost in Las Vegas. The episode and series concludes with Carly, Sam, Freddie, Spencer, and Gibby all reflecting on the many ups and downs they have shared over the years while Carly watches archived highlights of various iCarly webshows before the plane takes off. Elsewhere, Sam takes her new motorcycle for a ride out of Seattle, leading to the events of Sam & Cat. Special guest stars: Dan Schneider as Meekalito and David Chisum as Colonel Steven Shay. Guest stars: Lisa Lillien as Mrs. Benson's friend, Mindy Sterling as Ms. Briggs, Jeremy Rowley as Lewbert, BooG!e as T-Bo, and Mary Scheer as Mrs. Benson. Notes: This is the series finale. It is a one-hour episode, but was originally planned as two half-hour episodes. It is the third hour-long episode to be produced as two episodes (the 99th and 100th) but broadcast as a single episode. It is the only episode in which Carly and Spencer's father appears. References to the series pilot, "iPilot", include Carly and Sam making fun of Ms. Briggs' "pointy boobs"; a flashback to Carly, Sam, and Freddie brainstorming ideas for their first webcast; and an appearance by Spencer's video camera squirrel sculpture, the last one to catch fire on the show. Before Carly logs into iCarly.com on the airplane, the screen shows Dan Schneider's Twitter page and you can see his tweets. Freddie's phone "Samsun" is a parody of "Samsung". Continuity: Events in this episode are mentioned by Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) in the first episode of the Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat, also produced by Dan Schneider. |
