Luciobarbus

Mangar (Luciobarbus esocinus)

Luciobarbus is a genus of freshwater cyprinids. They live in Europe, North Africa, and the Caspian Sea. Before, they also used to be found in the Aral Sea, but it is now dried up.

Taxonomy

Luciobarbus is classified in the subfamily Barbinae. It was once part of the more well-known genus Barbus.
