The Malaysian Islamic Party, known as PAS, is a political party in Malaysia. It was founded in 1951 and focuses on promoting Islamic principles and values in the country. PAS advocates for a government based on Islamic law and policies that align with its interpretation of Islam.

In its early years, PAS focused on social and religious issues, gaining support mainly from the Malay Muslim community. The party has been involved in Malaysian politics for decades, participating in various elections and forming coalitions with other parties.

The current president of PAS is Hadi Awang. He has been leading the party since 2002. PAS's main newspaper is Harakah.
