Mark Langaman stage name of Mark Lassoe (1982 – 8 December 2024) was a Surinamese percussionist and bandleader.[1]

Langaman was born in Langamankondre [nl] and grew up there as a member of the indigenous Kalina people.[2] He performed with traditional indigenous music and music style kawina. He is regarded as the key person of this music style and gave lectures on indigenous Surinamese music.[3] He was the leader of the music group Sambura Woyupore. He also performed abroad with musical formations Beradjie, Kalwatino and Masuwa, including in French Guiana, Guyana, Trinidad, Brazil and Peru.[4][5]

Langaman died at Academic Hospital Paramaribo on 8 December 2024, at the age of 42.[2]
