Maybank

Maybank is a Malaysian bank, operating in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.[1][2] Singaporean business magnate Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat and Oei Tjong Ie founded Maybank.[3]

From 1994 to March 2008, Tan Sri Amirsham Abdul Aziz served as the company's president and chief executive officer. He was then appointed Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, where he oversaw the Economic Planning Unit until April 2009. From May 2008 to June 2013, Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar served as the Maybank Group's president and chief executive officer. Dato' Khairussaleh Ramli was named President and CEO of the Maybank Group on May 1, 2022.[4]

Maybank is Malaysia's largest bank by market capitalisation and total assets and one of the largest banks in Southeast Asia.[5]
