Mayu Ikejiri (池尻 茉由, Ikejiri Mayu, born December 19, 1996) is a Japanese football player. She plays for the Japan national team.
Biography
[change | change source]Ikejiri was born in Arao on December 19, 1996. In 2018, she was a Kibi International University student, she played for Okayama Yunogo Belle. After graduating from Kibi International University, she joined South Korean club Suwon UDC WFC in 2019. In 2020, she returned to Japan and signed with Mynavi Vegalta Sendai (later Mynavi Sendai).[1]
In February 2019, Ikejiri was selected for the Japan national team for the SheBelieves Cup. She first played in this tournament on February 27, as a defensive midfielder against the United States.
