Michael is an upcoming American biographical musical drama movie. It is expected to be released on October 3, 2025.[1] It was directed by Antoine Fuqua and was produced by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClain.[2] It is Michael Jackson is played by his nephew Jaafar Jackson and it is the first movie he's acted in.[3]
The movie follows Michael Jackson as he grows up in his family and his career from playing in the Jackson 5, to his rise as the "King of Pop", and his death.[4]
Principal photography began on January 22, 2024 in Santa Barbara, California and finished on May 30.[5][6]
