Michael Joseph Porcaro (May 29, 1955 – March 15, 2015) was an American bass player known for his work with Toto.[1] He retired from touring in 2007 because he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.[2]
He was the middle son of Joe Porcaro. His elder brother was Jeff Porcaro. His younger brother is Steve Porcaro.
Porcaro died from complications of ALS in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles, California, aged 59.
