Miriam Akavia

Miriam Akavia (born Matylda Weinfeld, 20 November 1927[1][2][3] – 16 January 2015) was a Polish-born Israeli writer and translator. She was a Holocaust survivor. Akavia served as president of the Platform for Jewish-Polish Dialogue.[4] She was born in Kraków, Poland.

Akavia died in Warsaw, Poland of natural causes, aged 87.
