Neochactas garciai is a species of scorpion in the genus Chactidae .

Distribution

This species is endemic to the state of Bolívar in Venezuela.[1] It is most commonly found near Gran Sabana.[2]

Systematics and taxonomy

This species was described under the protonym Broteochactas garciai by González-Sponga in 1978. It was moved to the genus Neochactas by Soleglad and Fet in 2003.[3]

Etymology

This species is named in honor of Edgard García.[2]
