Nicola Barrett (born 18 February 1993) was a South African water polo player and the Current South African National Ladies coach (2023). She competed for the South Africa women's national water polo team for 12 years, competing in the 2017 World Aquatics Championships[1][2][3] and 2019 FINA Women's Water Polo World League, as well as many junior tournaments.[4]
She played for California State University, Bakersfield's women's water polo team.[5]
While competing in the USA, Nicola received the Presidents award for excellence in academics, service and athletics, the “Make a Difference” award for her leadership as the WAC SAAC President, and was a 2 Time MPSF Honourable Mention.
She was also a NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee in 2017, being 1 of the 4 water polo players in the US nominated along with Maggie Steffens.
