Nintendo Research & Development No. 2 Department, commonly abbreviated as Nintendo R&D2, was a department of Nintendo that developed software and video game peripherals. Their works include the SNES, the NES, Donkey Kong's NES version and various other games and consoles.

It was merged into Nintendo SPD in 2004, along with the 1st Research & Development Division.
