On 20 September 2021, a mass shooting happened at Perm State University, in the city of Perm, Perm Krai, Russia. Six people were killed and forty-seven (twenty-three of them by gunfire) more injured.

The suspected attacker, Timur Bekmansurov, was severely injured and arrested.[3][4]
