Philippe de Gaulle

Philippe Henri Xavier Antoine de Gaulle (28 December 1921 – 13 March 2024) was a French admiral and politician. He was a senator from Paris between 1986 to 2004. He was the oldest child and only son of General Charles de Gaulle, the first president of the French Fifth Republic.[1] He was born in Paris. He was a member of the Rally for the Republic. He was also an admiral of the French Navy from 1938 to 1982.
During his career, he was honored with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Grand Cross of the National Order of Merit, War Cross 1939–1945 and Medal of Aeronautics.
De Gaulle turned 100 in December 2021.[2] He died during the night of 13 March 2024 in Paris at the age of 102.[3]
