Putra Mosque
Appearance
The Putra Mosque is the main mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction began in 1997 and finished in 1999.
It is on Putra Square next to Putrajaya Lake.
The mosque has a pink dome made from rose-tinted granite. It has three main areas: the prayer hall, the courtyard, and learning facilities. It can hold 15,000 worshippers at once.[1]
On 25 June 1999, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad visited the mosque for prayers.[2]
