Quality assurance

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quality assurance is the name for a number of methods to make sure processes, products and services have certain properties. This is done to make sure, that the products delivered meet certain standards, which have been agreed on beforehand. Assuring quality means that certain problems can be avoided. Quality assurance is part of Quality Management and works preventative. Due to proper quality assurance, issues with the quality of a product are prevented. A second part of Quality Management is quality control. Quality control works reactive, by evaluating the quality of the product or the process during or after production.
