Richmond is city in the U.S. State of California. It is a suburb of San Francisco. In 2020, 116,448 people lived in Richmond.[5] Chevron has an oil refinery here; in 2012 the refinery suffered a large fire.

Richmond is on the shore of the San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay. It is part of the East Bay region.
