Richard "Rick" Charles Mitchell (24 March 1955 – 30 May 2021) was an Australian sprinter and triple Olympian. He competed in the 400 metres and 4 × 400 metres relay. Mitchell won a silver medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics, and also won one gold, two silver, and one bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games in 1978 and 1982.

Mitchell died on 30 May 2021 from prostate cancer in Sydney, aged 66.[1]
