ScratchJr is a visual programming language designed to introduce programming skills to children aged 5 to 7 years old. The app is considered an introductory programming language.[1] It is available for free to iOS, Android and Chromebook.
ScratchJr is a coding language modeled after Scratch, which is used by over 10 million people worldwide. Programming in Scratch requires basic reading skills, so the creators saw a need for another programming language which would provide a easier way to learn programming at a younger age and without any reading or math needed to understand it.
