Shirley Valerie Horn (May 1, 1934 – October 20, 2005) was an American jazz musician, pianist and singer.[1] She collaborated with many jazz greats, including Dizzy Gillespie, Carmen MacRae and Wynton Marsalis.
Horn was nominated for nine Grammy Awards. She won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance.
Horn was born in Washington, D.C.. She died from breast cancer and diabetes.[2]
