Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation

The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation ('SIUT')[1] is a largest dialysis & kidney transplant centre in Pakistan.[2]
All services including dialysis and transplantation are provided free of charge.[2][3][4]
It was founded by Dr. Syed Adeebul Hasan Rizvi and it is the country's largest kidney disease center,[5] as well as Parkistan's largest public sector health organisation.[2]
The Institute started as a department of urology at the government-run Civil Hospital, in Karachi, in 1970[4] and received autonomy in 1991.[2]
They perform 10 to 12 transplants every week,[2] and in 2003 performed Pakistan's first liver transplant.[4] In 2004, a unit for children was opened.[6]
