Sonny Ramadhin

Sonny Ramadhin (1 May 1929 – 27 February 2022) was a West Indies cricketer. He was the first of many West Indian cricketers of Indian origin. He was one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1951. He played for the West Indies cricket team from 1950 until 1960.

Ramadhin died on 27 February 2022, aged 92.[1][2]

After the series in England in 1951 he was remembered by a calypso where he and fellow spinner Valentine were celebrated.
