Stonehaven derailment

The Stonehaven derailment was a railway accident. It happened at around 09:40 BST on 12 August 2020. It happened near Carmont. Carmont is west of Stonehaven. They are in Aberdeenshire, in Scotland.
At least three people died. Six others were injured. It was the first train derailment in the United Kingdom to kill people since the Grayrigg derailment in February 2007.
It was the worst crash involving an InterCity 125 train since the Ufton Nervet collision. That was in 2004.[1]
The accident was caused by a landslide.[2] Mud slid onto the tracks.
