The 100 m backstroke event at the 1922 Women's Olympiad was held on 22 April 1922. The venue of the competition was the Port Hercules, the harbour of Monte Carlo, Monaco.[1]

[change | change source]The winner of each heat and the fastest number two continued to the final.[1] The Dutch Truus Klapwijk won the third heat ahead of the French ladies Brinter and Porter.[2][3]

[change | change source]The Dutch Truus Klapwijk won the race in a time of 1:43. This time was listed as a new French record. British Doris Hart finished second, 0.6 seconds behind Klapwijk and the French Alice Harlfinger finished third.[5]
