Problematic category: School shootings

[change source]

I think that in this case, the category school shootings is problematic. In my views a schoo lshooting is when one, possibly a few former pupils/students attack a school; very often they see no other way, and don't survive the attack. A terrorist attack is different form this setting. So: it is either terrorsm, or a school shooting, but not both...--Eptalon (talk) 21:50, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

it might be the same category of event like the attacks on Schools in Nigeria, where BOKO Haram, an islamic fundamentalist organisation is regularly attacking (mostly girls') schools - Which also isn't a school schooting. Until the facts are known I will therefore remove the category "School schootings"...--Eptalon (talk) 10:37, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The cat applies regardless of perpetrator or motive. An attack can be both terrorism & a school shooting. I've never heard anyone claim that the École Polytechnique massacre, Dunblane massacre, Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting & 2014 Peshawar school massacre weren't school shootings.
