Airstrike vs aerial bombardment
[change source]My approach to this page (still unsourced at this point) leads in the direction of civilians' experience under bombardment, such as the terms:
- air raid siren
- air raid shelter
The intention is to give historical examples such as London in WWII, the railroad lines to Auschwitz, Vietnamese villages, etc. Now contrast that angle with the Airstrikes page in EN WP, which is far more extensive, including:
- fighter aircraft, not only bombers
- other munitions besides bombs (e.g. machine guns)
- more appropriate to the Category:Military aviation and Category:Military tactics with which I started.
Possibly the page I'm aiming to write here will move to a better name such as "aerial bombardment" or similar.
