• the first crusade was in 1096 • Monk knights, common soldiers, knights and children all were crusaders. Children still fight in war today. • In 1215 some rights of crusaders were: the property and family of the crusaders were protected while they were away. Crusaders paid no taxes while they were on a crusade. Crusaders dept(s) were not needed to be paid until they returned. •
