References problem

The references are broken because they use a template we don't have. I assume they were copy pasted from enwp? I'm not sure how to go about fixing them, just letting whoever's watching this article now. Giggy (talk) 14:56, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest avoiding the use of bullet for both the list-item designator and the group operation

Having the list-item designator appear as a • (bullet) and the operation appear as a •, even if with somewhat different sizes, offers an ambiguity that may not be readily resolved by all readers. I'm not familiar enough with wiki syntax to change this.

For all a, b in G,
a • b is also in G.

G is ambiguously described

In "Mathematicians use capital letters to stand for groups. They often use G, H, or K", the letter G is referring to the group, previously defined as a set and an operation.

In "To name the group, one should say all three parts: (G, •, e)", the letter G is used to denote just the set.
