I'm pretty much a newby to the Simple English Wikipedia, but I already know that "principalities" is hardly a Simple English word, so I changed it. I also disagree with "material subsistence", "codified", and "manifested" as being within the spirit of Simple English and see them as more collegiate freshman-US level words, and would welcome seeing attempted substitutes.
