There seems to be disagreement on whether the Nazi Party's political position was far left or far right. I have not changed it because I don't think the labels "left" and "right" are applicable here. Mock wurzel soup (talk) 21:35, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think that qustion is not that easy to answer. On the one hand, they had a strong natioalist focus (-> more right wing), on the other they saw themselves in opposition to the "bourgeousie" (-> left wing randicals). Both points of course need reliable references. As finding those is not that easy, I think we had better leave out the question altogether. --Eptalon (talk) 10:53, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the name of the article to "National Socialist German Workers Party" or "NSDAP"

[change source]

I think the Name of the Article should be more professional. "Nazi Party" may be a fitting name for many, but if we applied that logic everywhere, we would have to shorten "Winston Churchill" to just "Churchill", for example. A simple redirect or "also called Nazi Party" should suffice. What do you think?

I'll go through with the edit in 24 hours if nobody has any counter arguments. ThunderwingWiki (talk) 22:10, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

EnWp also uses the name, FrWp, and LaWiki (Latin) use the longer form. German obviously does. Eptalon (talk) 22:23, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Nazi Party" seems like the better title for Simple-wiki.--All the other names will be fine as redirects (including the name in German, which is not (fully) mentioned yet, in this thread). 2001:2020:323:DB8F:AD8F:DF7D:B47E:AF31 (talk) 03:33, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A song that charted #3 in Ireland and #8 in UK and #1 in Norway, uses "Nazi Party".

Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, is the most 'professional' name, one might say.--But we are not 'professional-English' wikipedia. 2001:2020:323:DB8F:AD8F:DF7D:B47E:AF31 (talk) 03:50, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
