Problem of presentism[change source]
The following sentence now contains an anachronism: "Senator Baise then agreed to withdraw the resolution he said, as a favor to Senator Bingham and not to the African American race." He wouldn't have used the term "African-American" because the term wasn't coined until some sixty years later. The term "negro" is either what he said (depending on source) or is the closest to what he would have said. Any objections to correcting this? Rus793 (talk) 15:42, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- +1 for negro, but please leave it with open and closed inverted commas, I.e. "negro race".Bonkers The Clown (talk) 15:49, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
