"In the study of biology of birds and mammals, some babies are born not ready to move much and need a lot of care (altricial). "--The article's first sentence/period might have more than one problem, that does not make the sentence simple.--Thoughts?--Good luck while i work on other articles. 2001:2020:4319:D809:81AE:8D40:6894:7086 (talk) 03:18, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I split the sentence up to hopefully simplify the structure so the two terms are clearly defined without assuming the reader has prior knowledge of them. Does that work better? Bijx (talk) 05:41, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"In fish, this idea is about whether a baby fish has a stomach when it starts eating. Precocial fish babies have a stomach from the start, but altricial fish babies do not".--(I sort of get the idea, but ...)--Good luck while i improve other articles. 2001:2020:4319:D809:81AE:8D40:6894:7086 (talk) 03:29, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
