Tallapoosa County, Alabama

Tallapoosa County is a county in the U.S. state of Alabama.[1] As of the 2020 census, the population was 41,311.[2] The county seat is Dadeville.[3] The name Tallapoosa is of Creek origin, and many Indian villages were along the banks of the lower river before the 19th century.

Tallapoosa County was founded on December 18, 1832.[1]
