Usage
Template:ISO 639 name gl is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code gl, for example: {{Translated page |gl |name of page at Galician Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Galician Wikipedia and to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Galician Wikipedia.
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|gl| some text in Galician}} wraps the text with <span lang="gl"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Galician-language text. Also available is {{Lang-gl |some text in Galician}} which displays as Galician: some text in Galician.
- {{R from other language|gl|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Galician-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|gl}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Galician-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
