Purpose
[change source]The boxer infobox provides a quick overview of the most sought after information of a boxer in an easy to view sideframe to the article proper. The infobox is intended for all current, retired and dead boxers.

- {{{weight}}} — Weight class currently fought at, or for retired and dead boxers, most famous at

- {{{birth_date}}} — Date of birth, use of {{birth date}} and {{birth date and age}} is encouraged
- {{{birth_place}}} — City of birth, with country if different from {{{nationality}}}
- {{{style}}} — Stance
- {{{total}}} — Total number of fights
- {{{wins}}} — Total number of wins
- {{{losses}}} — Total number of losses
- {{{draws}}} — Total number of draws
- {{{no contests}}} — Total number of no contests
- {{{KO}}} — Totoal number of Knock Outs

Microformat
[change source]The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. Sub-templates
[change source]Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.
To include a URL, use {{URL}}.
