Template:JPNO
This template generates one or more links for the Japanese National Bibliography Number (全国書誌番号) or JPNO of publications. The Japanese National Bibliography (日本全国書誌) is maintained by the National Diet Library (国立国会図書館) of Japan. It takes up to nine parameters. It is intended as an alternative, when the book in question does not appear in the Online Computer Library Center.
The template can also be used inside the |id= parameter of the various {{cite xxx}} citation templates.

Note: Unlike the NDL bib ID, e.g., https://id.ndl.go.jp/bib/000008144816/eng, the JPNO is designed to also be used outside of NDL, e.g., http://webcatplus.nii.ac.jp/webcatplus/details/book/nbn/21005395.html at the Wayback Machine (archived 2023-06-17) from the former Webcat Plus by the National Institute of Informatics (国立情報学研究所).
Changes

This API changed in December 2023:[1][2]
- from https://iss.ndl.go.jp/api/openurl where previously the English UI could be accessed by adding
locale=ento the query string - to https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/api/openurl which in turn redirect to https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/openurl?cs=api_openurl and the English UI can be accessed via https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/en/openurl?cs=api_openurl
This means links are changed:
