Timmins is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. The population of Timmins was 43,165 in 2011.[1] The mayor of Timmins is Tom Laughren. Timmins was founded in 1912 by Noah Timmins after there were gold discoveries in the Porcupine Camp, although South Porcupine and Schumacher were formed in 1911. Naoshima, Kagawa in Japan is a sister city to Timmins.
