United States Commission on International Religious Freedom
Appearance
The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) is part of the U.S. government. It was made by a law called the International Religious Freedom Act (IRFA) in 1998. The people in charge of USCIRF are chosen by the President and leaders from both political parties in the Senate and House of Representatives. USCIRF's main job is to check facts about religious freedom problems in other countries and give advice to the President, the Secretary of State, and Congress on what to do.
