The Dream SMP was an invite-only Minecraft survival mode online multiplayer server owned by Dream. It was well-known for the numerous controversies and conflicts that existed throughout the history of the server, most of which were loosely planned out through scripted improvisation. The server lasted from April 24, 2020, up until April 10, 2023. Other than Dream, notable participants in the server included TommyInnit, Wilbur Soot, MrBeast, and Technoblade.

Most of the Dream SMP occurred under Dream SMP: Season One, which lasted from the start of the server until November 13, 2022. The main story of the server revolved around the conflict between Dream and TommyInnit, which overlapped with several subplots. The most famous of these subplots was the story of L'Manberg, a fictional nation created by Wilbur Soot that was loosely inspired by the American Revolutionary War. Another major story arc revolved around an egg discovered by BadBoyHalo that attempted to use mind control to take over the world.

The Caravan Struggle was a brief internal conflict within the Greater Dream SMP on July 24, 2020. It was fought by the authorities of the Greater Dream SMP against a drug cartel ran by Wilbur Soot and TommyInnit. The short conflict ultimately convinced Wilbur and Tommy that the Greater Dream SMP was corrupt and led directly to the L'Manbergian War of Independence.

On July 24, 2020, Wilbur invited Tommy to form a drug cartel business with him. The two agreed and built a caravan to run their business out of, calling the caravan "Camarvan." Their first goal was to scam everyone out of their brewing stands and potions, thus enabling themselves a monopoly on the potion business. They attempted to scam Tubbo first, who happily agreed. They then attempted to scam Sapnap, who refused.

Sapnap quickly became suspicious of what Wilbur and Tommy were doing, hoping to launch an investigation into their drug business. As Tubbo attempted to give up his potions' supplies to the cartel, Sapnap interfered and warned Tubbo that it was a scam all along. The duo retreated across the river back to their caravan, meanwhile Sapnap attempted to chase them. Wilbur and Tommy decided to get Wilbur's son, Fundy, into the business, claiming it was a actually a hot dog business and that Sapnap was unjustly framing them for drugs. Fundy saw the Camarvan and agreed to join his father.

Sapnap and Tubbo found out and tried to reason with Fundy, claiming that the Camarvan was actually a drug van. Sapnap went inside of the van, however the drug lab on the inside was blocked off, preventing any of evidence of illegal activity from being discovered. Sapnap figured it was a coverup and arrested Wilbur and Tommy for obstructon of justice. When Tommy protested, Sapnap killed him non-canonically. Wilbur and Fundy managed to escape and nobody was brought to the Courthouse.

After the smash clash, Fundy met up with Wilbur and Tommy in the Camarvan. He told them that he was aware it was a drug cartel but that he still wanted to join anyways. Sapnap and Tubbo, now joined by Eret, were still spying on the business. Suddenly, they were joined by Purpled and Ponk. Both of them wanted revenge against Tommy for stealing Ponk's pickaxe and non-canonically killing him.

As Purpled and Ponk attacked the Camarvan and Sapnap, Tubbo, and Eret spied on them from above, Tommy dug straight down to try and escape. Sapnap found the tunnel, however, and alerted Tubbo and Purpled. Ultimately, the authorities rushed into the Camarvan and arrested Wilbur. Eret was tasked with holding Wilbur in custody. Meanwhile, Sapnap, Tubbo, Ponk, and Purpled all went after Tommy. Sapnap and Purpled ultimately caught up with him and arrested him for possession of illegal drugs. Tubbo and Ponk returned to the Camarvan where Eret was with Wilbur, where Tubbo decided to stay with Eret and Wilbur while Ponk left to help Sapnap and Purpled escort Tommy to the Courthouse. Tubbo then arrested Fundy and escorted him to the Courthouse as well.

Eret decided that what the Greater Dream SMP was doing to the cartel was wrong and released Wilbur, giving him a sign that said "you're safe." Eret then caught up with Tubbo and Fundy and told Tubbo that he was going to take Fundy the rest of the way. Tubbo agreed and left Fundy with Eret. After Tommy had arrived at the Courthouse, Purpled decided to leave Sapnap and Ponk to check on Fundy. He found Fundy and Eret gathering supplies and decided to spy on them, learning of Eret's defection to the drug business. He then informed Sapnap, who rushed to inform Tubbo.

Tommy was now alone with Ponk and managed to sweet-talk him into letting him go. Meanwhile, Sapnap Purpled confronted Eret and Fundy, revealing that they knew about Eret's betrayal. The authorities then arrested Eret and Fundy, leading them back to the Courthouse. Ponk then informed the four that Tommy was suffering from diarrhoea. At the same time, Wilbur quietly redesigned the interior of the Camarvan to destroy any and all evidence of a drug business, instead making it appear as a legitimate hot dog business. Wilbur then invited Tubbo inside and told him that he just wanted to start a hot dog business to feed his son, Fundy. Tubbo then apologized for everything the authorities had done to the business and defected to the business.

When Sapnap and Purpled arrived at the Courthouse with Fundy and Eret, Tommy and Ponk started acting angry with one another as a trick to convince everyone that Ponk had never defected. Ultimately, the authorities decided to hold a trial and had Tubbo preside as the judge. When Purpled came forth as a prosecutor to deliver the case for conviction, Tommy, Fundy, and Eret started repeating the phrase "ass ult" over and over again, preventing anyome from hearing it.

L'Manbergian War of Independence[change | change source]

The L'Manbergian War of Independence, also known as the First Great War, was a revolution on the Dream SMP waged by the breakaway nation of L'Manberg against the Greater Dream SMP. The war began on July 29, 2020, after Wilbur Soot, TommyInnit, Tubbo, Fundy, and Eret signed the Declaration of Independance, officially seceding from the Greater Dream SMP. The war ended on August 2, 2020, when Tommy gave up his music discs to Dream in exchange for independence.

In the aftermath of the war, Wilbur appointed himself as the first President of L'Manberg. Tommy, who had been Wilbur's right-hand man throughout the war, was appointed the first Vice President of L'Manberg. It wasn't until over a month later that a democratic election was held, however.
