Basic Information[change | change source]

Hello, I'm Fenrirskin, or Rine, a Chicago-native DePaul University student focusing to get my MA in Cultural Anthropology & Public History (TL;DR, a mix of Museum Sciences and Education).

I'm newer to Wikipedia editing, and I have a few side projects regarding world religion, ancient religious practices, funerary customs, and mythology. This is usually focused on Classical Antiquity of European societies, primarily in the Greek States, Roman Empire (and it's various territories and expansions), and the Egyptian World.

As of now, I mainly edit pages and linger around in Talk pages, and most of my focus goes towards areas of my interest-- primarily Classical Greek Mythology and Viking-Age Nordic Mythology. Though, I also have an interest in general world history, focusing on the ancient world, linguistics and taxonomy, funerary and death-related customs, Urreligion and religious evolution, Baroque art, and other branches of cultural anthropology.

My personal favorite art piece, "Esther" by Viktor Alexeevich Bobrov, painted in oil in 1888.

Interests and Hobbies[change | change source]

For non-academia based hobbies, I'm a fan of many things. I enjoy all things horror, especially novels. I am a hair-dye junkie at this point, and I've rotated through about 4 colors for the last few years. I like a lot of music, mainly The Smiths, Radiohead, Sisters of Mercy, and Siouxsie and The Banshees.

I draw on occasion-- mostly still-lives and inanimate objects, but not very well. I also enjoy writing academically. I read often, and I'm currently reading Victor Nabokov's Lolita, and Agustina Bazterrica's Tender is The Flesh. I play electric guitar occasionally, and have been learning bass guitar.
