Can I move Category:Football seasons to Category:Seasons in football? Cactus🌵 spiky 10:07, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Cactusisme: Why? -- Auntof6 (talk) 10:09, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It a better title Cactus🌵 spiky 10:45, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cactusisme: How is it better? I might discuss that one before moving it. -- Auntof6 (talk) 10:53, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As it makes it easier for users to understand at a glance. Cactus🌵 spiky 11:53, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cactusisme: How so? When I see "seasons in football," I think of the four seasons of the year. "Football season" is a common phrase. -- Auntof6 (talk) 13:55, 5 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's to match naming conventions for other sports or avoid confusion with the four seasons (spring, summer, fall, and winter). Cactus🌵 spiky 06:51, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On EN, it also moved there. Cactus🌵 spiky 06:52, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, No response from you for a while. Any response, if no please ignore and I will ask simple talk. Cactus🌵 spiky 10:49, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cactusisme: My answer was to discuss it. I'm sorry that wasn't clear. Simple talk would be a good place. -- Auntof6 (talk) 10:52, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Can you ban 49.228.97.28? 16 days ago, he put on random pages "honks should be killed" or other stuff which is violence, including saying ba****ds. Priharisid (talk) 01:08, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Priharisid (talk page stalker) They were blocked for three days after they did this, but the block has ended. TagUser (talk) 01:48, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh ok. Priharisid (talk) 10:53, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TagUser: Thanks.
@Priharisid: For future reference, please note:
  • A ban is different from a block. A ban requires a discussion to get consensus from the community. A block doesn't.
  • The best place to report something like this is at WP:Vandalism in progress. There, any admin who is online can see the report and act on it.
  • Before making a report like this on an IP, be sure that the IP has had recent warnings. That is because an IP isn't always used by only one person, and we don't want to block an IP if it's now being used by someone different. The most recent warnings for this IP were from March 7, which is not recent enough.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 11:03, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am currently improving all the artcles I created. Do you have any comments? Cactus🌵 spiky 10:39, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Cactusisme: When you ask someone to do something like this, please be as specific as you can. If someone is doing something for you, they'll appreciate you making it as easy as possible for them to do it.
That being said, without more information, all I can comment on is the fact that you're doing the improving It's good to improve articles. I suspect you want feedback on specific improvements, though. If that's the case, link to an article or two so I don't have to look through your contributions trying to figure out, for example, which ones are on articles you created. If you want praise for doing a good job, pick an article you think you did a good job on. If you want feedback that will help you do better, pick one you think still has issues.
If it seems like I'm being difficult, it's just that I'm trying to help people (not just you) learn how to effectively ask for what is essentially tech support. Make it as easy as possible for the helpers to get to the thing you want them to do. -- Auntof6 (talk) 12:23, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what you're saying, and I appreciate the advice. I wasn't trying to make things difficult—just looking for general feedback. But I'll be more specific next time to make it easier for everyone. That said, if you have time, I'd love your thoughts on Pokemon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra and what could be improved. Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra Cactus🌵 spiky 22:46, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cactusisme: All in all, this one looks pretty good. Here are the comments I have:
The only complex word or language I see is the word "bundle". Maybe you could reword that using the terms "combination", "released together", or something similar. Unless, of course, you want to bring over en:Product bundling. :)
I think you could combine these sentences:
  • It was released on Nintendo Switch.
  • It was released on October 22, 2020.
You could say "It was released on Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2020." That's not complex because there's still only one verb. Combining them makes the text a little less choppy. Being choppy is sometimes unavoidable with our simple language, but here I think it can be avoided.
categories: I removed several categories because they were parent categories of other categories there. For some explanation of this, see the guideline info at Wikipedia:Categories#Choosing the correct category. I see from the history that this article is based on the enwiki article. Over there, they sometimes have things in parent categories, but we don't do that here.
Attribution: since this article was copied from enwiki, it needs attribution on the talk page. There is information about this in the policy at Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution.
Hope that helps. -- Auntof6 (talk) 01:11, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Auntof6 Thanks for the cooments, I made some changes based on the suggestions you made. Is the article okay now? Cactus🌵 spiky 09:56, 26 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cactusisme: My comments:
Whatever you did to the infobox made it not recognize any of the parameters. That would be caught if you preview the changes before saving. Please fix that, and please get in the habit of previewing pages before you save them.
"A physical pack of both packs": it's not good to use a word twice so close together like you have "pack" here.
Please put back the blank lines that separated different kinds of things at the end of the article. Those are there to make things easier for people editing to see what's there.

Can you block User:CactusismeBot, but disable autoblock so I won’t be blocked. I am still working on the script. Cactus🌵 spiky 02:19, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Already done. What are you planning to do with a bot? -- Auntof6 (talk) 02:27, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Why would you create a bot account and then immediately ask for it to be blocked ? ..... What does one even gain from that? –Davey2010Talk 02:28, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Cause it’s not approved. Cactus🌵 spiky 02:28, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to create a bot that would automark requests at Wp:VIP as done or stale if the IP has not edited for 24 hours. Cactus🌵 spiky 02:28, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
