I am not used to editing the simple English wikipedia. How do I know whether a word is suitable for the s. e. wikipedia? I don't think 'pacifism' or 'convet' would be allowed, and 'apple' and 'orange' will be. Is there a rule for the word choise? Kayau (talk) 09:30, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Kayau, thanks for your help here. :) It's much appreciated. I'm sorry my reply to your question above is so late, but you can look at our Basic English word list for simpler words you can use. Yes, you're right, words like apple or orange are certainly Basic English words. :) You can also try to make sentences shorter and easier to read, and link really hard words you can't simplify to Simple English Wiktionary like this. I hope you have a beautiful day! Kindly, —Clementinatalk06:39, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
