Vinayak Singh, popularly known as Vinayak Singh Oberoi , is an Indian Author and philanthropist from Kolkata India. Born into an elite family with roots in Bengal aristocracy and royalty.

Early life and education
[change | change source]Vinayak was born on 7 May, 2006 in Kolkata to Uma Dhar and Rajiv Singh. He attended Army Public School, Kolkata.[1]
Family
[change | change source]Singh's great-great-great-grandfather, Peary Charan Sarkar, was a renowned educationist. His great-great-grandfather, Mohini Mohan Dhar, served as the Dewan (Chief Minister) and state judge of Mayurbhanj. Vinayak's great-grandmother, Amiyabala Sircar Dhar, was married to Nripendra Nath Sircar, who was a Knight Commander of the Order of the Star of India and the Advocate General of Bengal. Additionally, his grand-uncle, Birendranath Sircar, was a Padma Bhushan awardee and a key figure in Indian cinema. Vinayak's grandfather, Chittajit Mohan Dhar, was an Indian chemical industrialist.[2]
Vinayak Singh Oberoi has and elder half-brother, Abhishek Singh, born to his father Rajiv Singh and Preeti Singh on 27 August, 1988.

Career
[change | change source]Vinayak Singh Oberoi began his career as an author and philanthropist in 2020. He has since been actively involved in various charitable causes, focusing on child welfare, animal care, and rehabilitation. Vinayak has donated food, milk, and eggs to children and stray dogs, supported flood-affected regions in Africa, and contributed to drug rehabilitation centers. He is also a strong advocate for girls' education and has received the Young Philanthropist Award in 2024 for his contribution[3]
