"What's Love Got to Do with It " is the second single released in May 1984.[ 1] It is from Tina Turner 's album, Private Dancer . The song is a pop rock and soul song written by Graham Lyle and Terry Britten. Britten produced the song.[ 2]
It became Turner's most successful song. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, in Australia,[ 3] and the top five in New Zealand, Austria, Sweden, and the United Kingdom . The title of this song was used for a 1993 biographical movie that was distributed by TriStar Pictures .
A remix of the song was released on July 17, 2020 by Norwegian DJ Kygo .
