Wikipedia:Edit conflicts

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An edit conflict is when someone saves a page but newer information has been saved before the person that lost the conflict saves. Example:

  • Bob clicks on change
  • Alice clicks on change
  • Bob types.
  • Alice types.
  • Alice clicks on save.
  • Bob still types then clicks on save.
  • Alice wins the conflict
  • Bob loses and has to type the info again (or Alice has already typed what Bob was going to)
