Protect

I think the article Tibet should be semi-protected because of the repeated vandalism. Any thoughts? Alexhl (talk) 05:08, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

It is true there are some political issues going around there, but currently there is less unrest in Tibet right now. I don't think it is necessary. The article was last heavily vandalised by User:Save Tibet! in 19 March, following some tests on the article. Chenzw  Talk  05:21, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I have done some copyediting; note that I have added something about the unrest there. Rather than removing the section, try for it to give a balanced view. It looks likesome people have been protesting because of higher food prices, and not because they believe the status of tibet should change. If I read the enWP article correctly, Tibet depends on Chinese (or other aid). Most of the economy consists of farming lifestock (which might not be too good either, as there seem to be some mountains). --Eptalon (talk) 15:22, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

MyCroft search

I've noticed when I'm adding the searchbox engine for the Simple English Wikipedia, the seachbox's name shows as "Wikipedia (en)". Can someone change it to "Wikipedia (simp-en)", or something similar? It's way to confusing to the standard English Wikipedia. --w^{L <talk · hope>} 19:19, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll take a look at it again if I can find it. Are you using "Wikipedia - Simple English" from this list? In the drop-down list, mine shows as "Wikipedia - Simple". Archer7 - talk 19:30, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
