William Edwin Dannemeyer (September 22, 1929 – July 9, 2019) was a conservative American politician, activist, and author. He was known for his criticism of homosexuality.[1][2] He was the honorary national chairman of Citizens For a Better America.[3] He served as U.S. Representative from the 39th Congressional District of California from 1979 to 1993.
Dannemeyer died of dementia in Thousand Palms, California on July 9, 2019, aged 89.[4]
