"Workin' for a Livin'" is a song by American rock band Huey Lewis and the News. It was released in 1982 on their album Picture This. The song reached number 20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts and number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2][3]

In 2007, Lewis recorded the song as a duet with American country music artist Garth Brooks. It was released in December 17, 2007 as the second single from third compilation album The Ultimate Hits.

It debuted at number 20 on CMT's Top 20 Countdown for the week of February 7, 2008.[4]
